Over time, the cooling fans can start to crack around the backside. At high revolutions, this can be especially dangerous as the fan could potentially fail to hold together and grenade itself. If this happens, it can take out your fan shroud as well as hit the underside of your hood and dent it. Don't risk your Z, check for cracks or other signs of aging and replace the fan immediately.
